We Should Learn From Our Neighbors

Fab Four - Courtesy AFP

Best quote and I’m sure many share the same sentiment as Mary Anastasia O’Grady “Nothing takes the “happy” out of Happy New Year like the thought of Barack Obama in the White House for four more years.”

According to a UN report the Latin American fab four—Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico—are capitalizing on strong institutions and its rich resource base. One more thing they have in common is their poverty levels are dropping and the middle class is progressing. Maybe Obama should take a closer look and take notes on why socialism doesn’t work.

I’m afraid that Obama does believe that socialism “works.” When your political goal is to create a system where the variation between the highest earners and the lowest earners is very small, and you don’t mind if the average of all earners is much less than we have today, then socialism is just the ticket. Progressives don’t care if the overall affluence of American as a whole drops significantly, because they think we’re way too filthy affluent now. They’re willing to sacrifice YOUR and MY prosperity, in order to make us all more homogenous…like bees in a hive or ants in an colony.

You and I know socialism DOESN’T work, because our vision for liberty and economic freedom is different than the progressives’ vision. I wrote an article recently, scratching the surface on the nature of this drastic difference in ideology, called America’s Political “Bilingualism”. I invite you to check it out.

BTW, here again your WSJ link to the written article didn’t work for non-subscribers like me. But the related video link worked.

I’m finding your blog a breath of fresh air.
