Panetta: Obama was Absent on Night of Benghazi Attack

During today’s Benghazi trial Panetta mentioned that he met with Obama at 5 o’clock during their scheduled meeting. During their pre-scheduled meeting the president left all operational details, including knowledge of what resources were available to help the Americans under siege, “up to us.”

In fact, Panetta said that on the night of 9/11 he did not have a single communication with the White House. When asked if anyone from the White House called that night, Panetta said “No.” When asked if Obama called to check in as the attack unfolded Panetta said “No.”

You are reading correctly, Obama NEVER called to check-in. The attack resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens.

This is a complete outrage and Obama should be held responsible for the death of four Americans on his watch. This is far worse than The Watergate debacle of the Nixon period. Obama knew the severity and just didn’t care. Now we are just supposed to walk away because, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

Obama should take responsibility of his actions and be a man.
