Chavez a ‘Hero,’ Is My Hearing and Eyesight OK?

Yes I am a bit paranoid when it comes to the evolution of the United States. It totally freaks me out when I read articles calling Mr. Chavez a ‘hero.’

I don’t wish my worst enemy (don’t think I have one) death, but when a person dies and he clearly was not a good person why praise him? When you hear people speak so highly of him and praise him for the work he has done and claim that “the world’s poor had lost a champion” it is just sickening to me.

What Mr. Chavez did in his 14 years of presidency of Venezuela was nothing but terrible. Sure he helped the poor, but in the process made the middle class disappear and the wealthy were made outcasts. How can this be good? According to some of my Venezuelan friends things are not as peachy as the government/media paint it. Sure the poor had a little more but people that were accustomed to having a certain amount of food and supplies were at times left with little to nothing.

How can we educate people that socialism, Marxism, communism, reformism, Bolivarianism…are not good?

Consider the sources (Oliver Stone and Sean Penn). Our men and women are dying (literally) to protect their freedom of speech.

Sadly there are many people like Oliver Stone and Sean Penn that idolize people like Chavez, and this is what scares me.
