Staffers on Brink of Starvation

When I read about staffers almost starving to death because of the sequester I almost chocked on my caviar (just kidding about the caviar.)

This sounds like a really bad joke and it’s worse than Obama’s 2008 quote about the price of arugula. In case you forgot “Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula? I mean, they’re charging a lot of money for this stuff.”

Debbie Wasserman Schultz suggested that staffers are on the brink of starvation because of the automatic federal cuts. Restaurants on the House side of Congress are increasing in cost so much that aides are being “priced out” of a good meal. By the way, Ms. Wasserman Schultz’s staffers earn between $60,000 and $160,000 per year, Fox News reports. Before she opened her mouth did she stop and think about the average American? Clearly she didn’t.

The federal cuts are being distributed through very obvious means that will affect all and this is better known as ‘fear tactic 101.’ An $8 lunch for a person making $100k is not exactly what I call being affected by the sequester. What I mean is prisoners being released, cutting air traffic control (I was recently affected by this yesterday), military furloughs…and the list goes on.
