In no way do I support or even agree most of the time with the leftist South American leaders from Argentina, Ecuador, Suriname, Venezuela and Uruguay. However for this time only, I do.

The five leaders joined Bolivian President Morales on Thursday to demand an apology from France, Italy, Portugal and Spain after the plane debacle.

In case you haven’t heard, Bolivian President Evo Morales’ plane was diverted this week in Vienna, Austria because there were suspicions that Snowden was onthe plane. France, Italy, Portugal and Spain refused to allow his plane to fly through their airspace. President Morales had been returning from a summit in Russia during which he had suggested he would be willing to consider a request from Snowden for asylum.

I’m sure that if something like this would have happened to President Obama or any of the presidents of the European nations there would be an uproar and repercussions for the humiliation President Morales experienced.
